A fine example of classic British reel making, this Fred Crouch “Match Aerial” 4½″ narrow drum centrepin reel is in very good condition, and appears to have never seen the riverbank. It is in full working order, spinning freely with no wobble or rubbing, and represents a beautifully built reel for either use or collection.

This model features a rear-mounted on/off check dial, twin ebonite handles, a ventilated spool, and a full-length, unfiled reel foot—all signs of quality and attention to detail typical of Fred Crouch’s craftsmanship. Supplied in its original fitted hardwood reel box, this is a wonderful piece for the traditional float angler or the classic tackle enthusiast.
