From one of the most remarkable collections we’ve ever encountered comes this superb Hardy 8′ #7 Fibalite trout fly rod—a rare and highly sought-after example of Hardy’s mid-century innovation in fibreglass rod design.

Lightly used and exceptionally well cared for, this rod remains in near mint condition. It features a smooth cork handle (still with the plastic wrap on) alloy uplocking reel seat, low-bell guide ring, and snake rings throughout. The rod is beautifully finished with olive silk whippings tipped with red and comes in its original Hardy-branded bag, which is also in excellent condition.

A fine example of British craftsmanship, this rod would make a treasured addition to any collection or a joy to fish with for those who appreciate the smooth, forgiving action of quality vintage glass.
