Machined in Iceland from aircraft-grade aluminium and finished in matte black, the Invictus 8 features Einarsson’s patented SAB (Shock Absorbing Brake) system—a groundbreaking design that sets it apart from conventional reels. For the first time ever, brake start-up friction is reduced to zero, allowing the reel to absorb the sudden surges and powerful runs of a hooked fish with unmatched smoothness. The SAB system stores energy within the reel itself, offering a level of control and shock absorption never before available in a fly reel.

The reel has a 4″ diameter and large arbor design, offering fast line retrieval and reduced memory. Suitable for 8–10 weight lines, it holds approximately 150m of WF8F with 30lb backing.
