PAUL COOK “GRAYLING” FLOAT TUBE

PAUL COOK “GRAYLING” FLOAT TUBE

£185.00

Description

The Grayling float tube is made from two different sections of wood with the centrepiece being seasoned Sycamore, a very light grained wood that is ideal for illustrating in Indian Ink.

The tube is capped top and bottom with seasoned Spalted Beechwood with an attractive configuration of black lines that occur naturally within the wood due to natural fungal growth.

The black patterning within the woodwork well alongside the crisp lines of the illustrations. Each piece of artwork is hand-painted by Paul Cook and then the tube receives several coats of varnish prior to wax and polishing. The brass caps are internally threaded to accept and external brass threaded and timber lid.
