Description

In very good and in full working order, spins freely with a NO wobble or rubbing, rear mounted on/off check lever, original full length un-filed foot, twin xylonite handles and a bright fishing spool and genuine enamel paint frame.

Allcock 1939 Aerial-Match model N° 9053 has a 4″ diameter with 9/16″ contracted drum. Light aluminium alloy construction with black painted back plate. Not to be confused with the post-war Match Aerial, the Aerial Match is very rare as it was produced for a very short time prior to the outbreak of WWII and appeared in the Allcocks Anglers Guide for one year only in 1939 (1939/40 edition). Specification includes button-operated optional ratchet click-check, micro adjustable “Regulating Drag”, 6 nickel-silver spokes with 12 pillars and 10-hole ventilation to front flange, detachable ebonite handle knobs and line guard mounted for right-hand-wind. S ALLCOCK & Co Ltd REDDITCH ENGLAND and Stag trade mark engraved on back plate with “30” stamped underneath both drum flanges.
