Description

In very good original condition, it has been very well looked after and stored correctly. It is nice and straight with NO sets or ticks, onion shaped smooth cork handle, agate butt and tip rings with burgundy silk whippings with no intermediate (un-wrapped model) It has a lovely action throughout and will make a perfect collector or user rod. The rod is presented in its original Ogden Smith rod bag.

I must confess I have never in over twenty or so years seen an Ogden Smith “Carp Major” made by B James and Sons, I have heard of one other but never seen it. It is now clear to see that B James were making rods for Ogden Smith to retail with there joint logos on. If my information is wrong, as always I am happy to stand corrected.
