In very good original condition as I doubt it has been used more than a few times, it has been very well looked after and stored correctly, complete with agate tip ring with low-bell rings throughout, smooth cork handle, red silk whippings tipped, tight suction ferrules joints, nice and straight with NO sets or ticks and complete original with Hardy rod bag. I have only ever seen a few of these rods and never before in this condition.
TAKEN FROM THE HARDY 1961 CATALOGUE
Total length packed in rod 2’2″
Action: The 8’10” fly rod is composed of all four parts and the handle except the stronger top. The balance is very similar to the Gold Medal. The 6’10” spinning rod consists of the top and two middle sections with the cork handle, balance like the Hardy Wanless 4lb. An 8lb Hardy Wanless type rod can be made by using the handle, the butt, the lower middle and the stronger top.
